On Tuesday April 22, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. The Johns Hopkins University Center for Social Concern and Tribe, Inc. will sponsor a panel discussion on Election 2008: The Politics of Race, Gender, and Culture. The event will be held in Baltimore, Maryland at Shriver Hall Auditorium, which is located on the campus of Johns Hopkins University. This event is open to the public. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. Directions to Shriver Hall Auditorium, parking information, and campus maps can be found on the Johns Hopkins University website.
This event is the first in a series of speeches, presentations, debates, and open forums that explore contemporary multicultural issues. Anchored in America’s rich intellectual diversity, this interdisciplinary initiative brings a direct, scholarly, and practical approach to the questions of race, ethnicity, and culture. Featuring national perspectives and regional influences, this non-partisan endeavor provides a context for communities from across the nation to discuss the policies that impact their lives and America’s continuing transition to a multicultural democracy.
